Abstract

Antistio is Colombia's journal of forensic sciences, with an editorial history spanning 89 years. It now aligns its approach with the principles of open science. This editorial introduces new content and structural updates, among other topics, reflecting on the journal’s current perspective.

Additionally, Antistio is part of the cultural heritage that the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences is beginning to explore and recognize. A key aspect of this effort is the revitalization of its scientific journal, whose purpose is to disseminate new scientific findings while fostering reflection and dialogue with other fields of knowledge that contribute, in an integrated manner, to the administration of justice in Colombia and Latin America.
